It depends on the type of watercraft, but on a sea kayak it can reach speeds
up to 14 km/h or 7,5 kt.
The motor is 1000 Watts
The forward thrust is 16 kg, whilst the reverse is 14 kg
It depends on use, however, the fastest setting gives a approximately
45 minutes of use, whilst the slower settings can give up to
4 hours of use before having to be recharged. The type
of watercraft along with water temperature are also variables which
can affect the endurance of the cruiser.
Yes, but if you have a short keel, we suggest you get a kayak with rudder.
We have succesfully mounted and used it on: Canoes, SUP, Catamarans,
Sea Plane (Cessna 206), Packraft, inflatable toys, and much more
With the original charger, it takes approximately 4 hours.
However, you can buy a quick charger from our store, which reduces the
charging time down to 1,5 hour.
Yes, however, we do not recommend using it for diving purposes.
It is IP67 approved and tested down to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
Yes, but it has to be done by a certified workshop. Additionally, you can
buy an external battery to use in conjuction with the internal battery
on the Cruiser.
Forbidden ⚠️
Only use the Thrustme internal or external battery packs. These are specially developed to match the motor’s specifications. The only approved alternatives are:
Thrustme battery: 18.5V lithium battery
Rebelcell battery: 18.5V lithium battery
Thrustme motor + Rebelcell battery: fully compatible
Lithium batteries are highly sensitive to overvoltage, undervoltage, and short circuits.
Using unapproved or hybrid battery setups may cause protection system failure and significantly increase the risk of fire or explosion.
The external battery level is only visible in the Thrustme app, which you’ll need to install on your phone. The LED display on the motor does not show the battery percentage — it only displays a small battery icon on the left side when the external battery is connected and in use.
This can happen, especially if the motor hasn't been used or charged for a while. In such cases, the chip that reads the battery level may not send accurate information to the display. To fix this, run the motor until the battery is completely empty, then charge it fully again.
A full charge is only reached when the charger light turns green (see reference image).
This process resets the battery chip and updates the display reading.
You may need to repeat it 2–3 times for a complete reset.
If the motor gets too hot, it will automatically shut off to protect itself. This happens when the temperature reaches around 65°C. Wait for the motor to cool down before starting it again.
The remote is charged wireless through the Cruiser when it is mounted
on the remote slot located on the display unit. Its only charging when the magnetic killswitch is connected. The remote can also be charged on an induction plate.
The battery is a 14,4 Ah 18,5V Li-Ion smart battery with built-in
temperature, shortcut and fuse control.
